Welcome Neighbors . . .

Thanks to everyone who participated as a contributor, bidder, or event coordinator to support the St. James ministries of outreach to our neighbors through this event. Very special thanks to the anonymous donor who lovingly matched the dollars raised this year.

For nearly 100 years, St. James Episcopal Church on N. Broadway in Knoxville has tended to our neighbors in many compassionate ways.  We celebrate Neighbor Day to raise funds to continue delivering essential services to our neighbors including food, shelter & utility assistance, transportation, and other important resources.

A Celebration in 3 Acts . . .

The 2021 St. James Neighbor Day celebration welcomes participation from neighbors of all faiths.  Our celebration includes three parts:

  • Act I is featuring a 2-week on-line auction currently underway at sjneighborday.com (Oct 2 – Oct 16)
  • Act II featured an outdoor Concert in the Park(ing lot) at St. James on Tuesday Oct 12th, headlining The Emancipators and poet laureate RheaSunshine.  Over 55 guests enjoyed the entertaining and inspirational performances seated in lawn chairs and parked cars.  The event was also streamed on our YouTube Channel.
  • Act III will feature a live 2-hour live finale streamed on our YouTube Channel and simulcast on Community Television of Knoxville (Sat, Oct 16, 6 pm – 8 pm)
