Since 1923, St. James Episcopal Church has been feeding and tending to our neighbors in many different ways. We have always performed mercy related activities to satisfy immediate needs, like providing meals, groceries and assistance with clothing, shelter, & transportation. We have also been active in justice related activities to help find permanent solutions to the underlying problems that create such needs. We celebrate Neighbor Day each year to shine the light on this important work.
We also celebrate partnerships & collaborations with neighboring businesses through our annual online Neighbor Day Auction. Proceeds from funds raised during our auction are used to support our mercy & justice ministry work.
Experience has shown gift cards, certificates, and merchandise donated by local businesses consistently raise more money than any other kind of donation. So, we encourage our family, friends & neighbors to purchase and donate gift cards from the businesses we patronize. We are also respectfully request businesses to support this cause by donating gift cards as well. All items donated this year will be auctioned at this website during the 3-week period between Sep 15 – Oct 5.
Please let us know if you would like to donate one or more gift cards or certificates and/or merchandise to this year’s fundraising auction by clicking THIS LINK.
